The popular twelfth century church of St Gwenog is situated in the village of Llanwenog, just opposite Y Cartws. The large graveyard holds the graves of many locals and unique characters who have all shared a fondness for the memorable area. Attractions within reasonable driving distance include Oakwood leisure park, the National botanic gardens of Wales, local natural history, Cambrian Mountains, the Llanybydder mountains and local cultural events.
